Time To Step Up

    Have you ever just sat down and read a Gospel passage that just lights a fire underneath you? It could just  be me getting all pumped up with just everything this world is today or the fact that this reading brought me back to Man Praise on NET! This would include screaming and yes, chest pounds! I wrote exactly what was put on my heart today. If any of my non Catholic brothers and sisters do not agree, well we can have a conversation about it later. I have my faith and I am Catholic and God has called me to stand up for the faith He has instituted through His Son Jesus Christ.

    Jesus says: "Therefore I say to you, the Kingdom of God will be taken away from
you and given to a people that will produce its fruit."

    Now hear me out on this one. Let us take a look at this whole thing .... God is the Land owner and He has allowed us to use His vineyard. We have full and free rule over the earth. We create our own countries, governments, we have freedoms, some more than others, but not all of us actually show thanks for this great gift. In fact, a majority of people have taken advantage of the generosity of our God (Catholics are just as guilty as everyone else)! We think we can take other lives, steal, go to war, create idols that have become more important than God and even disregard all the rules and guidelines that our God has given to us to treat His vineyard with respect. The most most important one is to be willing to give back to Him. The funny thing is that all God wants back from us is the fruit that we bear from simply following His commandments and guidelines and from truly just being moral people.

    God sent Mosses and Elijah and a countless number of prophets to tell us how he was feeling, but we just like the servants in the vineyard have turned against them and killed them. Think about it, we even had God's Son come to help show us the right way to treat this vineyard and how to live in harmony and we even killed Him. The crazy thing is that God knew we would kill His son and that is why Jesus became the building block for the Catholic Church. The one thing on this planet that is directly run by God! Don't believe me? Ok, well not to push anyone away from this blog or who I am, but take a look at the founder of your denomination/ religion. Most if not all end well before the 95 Thesis, or they end with Luther or Calvin. Well with the Catholic Church, we can follow our lineage through the Popes, starting with Benedict and ending with St. Peter, who was named by Jesus to be Pope! But to even prove my point even more about Jesus being the Son of God in whom the salvation of the world would be brought about, Jesus even says today:

"The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone;
by the Lord has this been done, and it is wonderful in our eyes?"

    God even sent His son and we killed Him! So now to the point I am making in this whole crazy ordeal. Not everyone on this earth is ready to receive God or to accept the truth that He presents in the Catholic Church. Some people will never be able to accept it. Just read John 6 to figure that one out! The point is that those of us who do believe it and do follow these teachings and traditions given to us by Jesus Christ Himself, have a job to do.... We need to stand up and bear our fruit, we need to share the fruit that has been grown among out branches and we must not be scared to be destroyed by the servants of the landowner. God has given us the courage and strength to go out and ask everyone we meet to think about how they go about their lives. Most people will say "No", a few will say "Yes", and another few may even persecute you. Just remember what was said at the end of this Gospel today and take a look at yourself and see how you are being challenged today by God.

"When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they knew
that he was speaking about them. And although they were attempting to
arrest him, they feared the crowds, for they regarded him as a prophet."
